Bad Company

The problem of pornography cannot be addressed with half measures or compromises; it requires decisive and radical intervention.

Paul exhorts us to "put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts".

This means that we cannot afford to give way to sin or accept compromises. Every form of sin, including pornography, must be faced firmly.

A deep-rooted problem cannot be reduced slowly; it requires a clean break from what harms us spiritually and morally.

As mentioned, avoiding situations that can lead to temptation is a critical step.

The less you are exposed to temptation, the better you will be able to maintain your purity and faithfulness to God.

This means making wise choices about what to watch, what sites to visit, and who to spend time with.

Scripture reminds us, “Guard your heart with all due respect, for out of it flow the issues of life”.

By guarding your heart and mind, you will reduce the power that temptations can have over you.

The people you surround yourself with are also crucial. If someone tries to involve you in bad behavior, it is important to be clear and decisive in distancing yourself.

Don’t let their influences take you away from your integrity. Taking a clear stand will help strengthen your resolve to follow God’s way.

The Bible warns us that “bad company corrupts good morals.” Surround yourself with people who support your path of purity and encourage you to make good choices.

Eliminate bad habits at the root. If there are thoughts, behaviors, or practices that lead you to pornography, cut them out of your life without hesitation.

Leave no room for compromise or gray area, but address the problem decisively, eliminating everything that distances you from God.

Remember that Jesus died and rose again to offer a life free from all forms of addiction. Paul tells us, "You, brothers, were called to freedom".

The freedom that Christ offers us is total and includes freedom from all bondage, including addictions.

Embrace this freedom with beliefs, knowing that with God's help, you can live a full life and be free from the chains of sin.
