Philippiansनमुना
Paul takes the opportunity while in prison to write a letter to the Church in Philippi to encourage them. He shares how thankful he is for them and that they share in the burden, privilege, and honor of spreading the Gospel with him. He also shares the joy that he has in God because he now sees why things have happened and the good that has come of it. Obviously, things didn’t always go as Paul had planned since he was in prison and many other things happened to him as well. Not saying we are in prison, but right now in our world things aren’t going exactly as we had hoped or planned. We all had plans for something during this year or this summer, a hope, a goal, a dream, a plan and it is most likely put on hold. What I see Paul doing most of all in this chapter is bringing unity. Unity with Paul, the Church at Philippi, and the Church as a whole, they realize that they are in this together. They are unified in having the same mission, purpose, and hope - to share the Gospel and see Christ glorified. Our mission today has not changed in that we desire to reach all people and teach them to have a relationship with God that gets better and better. I believe that when we are able to unite under one name, Jesus, and share in His mission we will have a joy and peace that doesn’t make sense to anyone. So many lives can be transformed simply because the Church (all churches) came together to lift up one another and lift up the name of Jesus.
