God gives me courage to pray with power.
A powerful prayer isn’t about getting our way and bossing God around. It shows we have faith that God hears us every single time, and He will show His power, no matter what’s going on.
In the Bible, Elijah prayed powerful prayers. On the mountaintop, Elijah prayed God would reveal His power. God did. When there was a drought, Elijah prayed for rain over and over, because God told Him it would rain when He prayed. At first it didn’t look good, but Elijah didn’t give up. He prayed over and over, and the rain came, just as God promised.
Your prayers are just as powerful as Elijah’s when you trust and follow Jesus. Do you need to see God’s power? Start praying!
