Flowers Don't Worry: Journal Your Way Through Anxiety!नमुना
Poppies have historically been known to grow in the most unlikely of places. After World War I, poppies sprung up in thousands on the battlefield rubble. They’re also known to grow around grave sites often. What a place to thrive in — amid death and nothingness!
We’ve been talking about worry throughout this study but perhaps your challenging situation is beyond just a mere struggle and it feels like battlefield rubble. You feel defeated in the face of it and all your dreams and desires feel dead. Perhaps your worry has turned into apathy and you’ve lost the will to hope for change. There seems no way out!
God promises the impossible in Isaiah 41 — rivers in barren areas, pools in the parched land and thriving plantations in the deserts. Even in our situations of lack and nothingness, God is able to bring growth and fruitfulness. That is His Promise to us. He promises that we will bloom in the battlefield rubble and grow in the grave. Hold on to His promises and don’t lose hope.
Journaling Prompt:
Think about any “dead” situation in your life — something you’ve given up hope on. Write about it in your journal and also write down God’s promises from Isaiah 41. As you sketch, draw or doodle poppies; remind yourself that God is on your side and He does impossible things. You need not be in despair; just trust Him to not just deliver you but also help you blossom and thrive.

Prayer:
Lord, I trust that you are a God who keeps your promises. I believe that you are capable of helping me thrive and grow in what feels like a dead situation. I commit this struggle I’m facing into your hands and pray that you’ll turn this bleak battlefield into a gorgeous garden. Amen.
