As For Me...

The courage and strength behind this statement is powerful. Serving God is a choice, and it's a choice that's best made ahead of time. Instead of waiting for a trial to come your way and see if you'll look to God, decide before the fact that as for you and your household, you'll serve the Lord. Not just when it is easy, not just when it feels good, not just when everything is going right, but in the times when you feel like giving up, when nothing goes right, and you wonder if God is still there. When we are faithful in those times, we see God show up in incredible ways. But it all starts with pre-determining to follow Jesus, no matter the cost.

Sit down with your future spouse and talk through this verse with them. Decide ahead of time, together, that your house will be one that serves the Lord.
