Brave in the face of persecution 

Take a minute right now to really ponder this promise: nothing can ever separate you from Christ’s love. Nothing. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. When you are persecuted, you are still in Christ’s love. He’s still there, holding you, bringing you to victory. He loves you. 

We will surely face “all these things”: trouble, calamity, persecution, hunger, destitution, danger, and threat. But we can face these trials of life bravely clinging to this promise that overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us. No longer will we live in fear, because nothing can separate us from Christ’s love.

Dear Lord, I’m comforted by the promise that nothing could separate me from Your love. Jesus, thank You for being with me through all these things, and for loving me despite them. Thank You, Lord, for making me brave in the face of persecution. I declare victory in Your holy name, Amen.
