"Live Again" - Going to Be Victory

" A thief comes only to kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance." - John 10:10

Many people who listen to my music might sing along without being certain that they know and experience the truths of the lyrics they’re singing. Many who are reading this devotion can probably acknowledge that the thief has stolen some life, killed some joy, and destroyed some hopes and dreams. So, let’s not read John 10:10 to gather information about God—let’s read it as a way of inviting Him to transform us.

Bad things happen in the world every single day, but Jesus does not steal, kill, or destroy. He gives abundant life—and that is ultimately true about every circumstance. Jesus is the agent of wholeness, eternal life, secure pasture, and of release from the realm of darkness. Jesus is the One who provides life to the fullest. Abundance infers a quality of life that goes beyond necessity, and John 10:10 tells us the gift of Jesus is life beyond our wildest dreams. He came to give us good things.

If you’ve been broken or suffered or walked through tough times, God wants you to know, that in Christ, you will live again. Victory will come, and it will last forever. You don’t have to wait until you die and go to heaven to experience it, though. You can get ready for it right now. Even if you’re not certain it’s true—or the enemy has stolen or killed or destroyed some joy, hopes, and dreams—God is more than willing and able to give you abundant life in this moment. Turn to Him. Trust Him. He is ready to give you victory today.
