The Surrender - 5 Day Devotional with Shauna D. HarrisonParaugs
DAY 2—Face Time
Becoming prostrate before God is the position of power, and it always will be.
I find it interesting that repeatedly in the Bible, we see men of God on their faces and bowed down before the Great and Mighty God. In fact, many religions of the world require that worshipers worship their deity at a physically low level, putting their bodies in a position of surrender by bending or bowing during worship.
The Bible doesn't require us to necessarily bow low in our physical bodies but to have a heart that is so surrendered to Christ that when we go before Him, He sees us in a state of humility and meekness.
You may not even be able to get on your knees because of a debilitating ailment. But some of us can lie down before the Lord, and others can bow only their hearts in humble submission to the Father.
Whatever you do, be sure to have "face time" with your Father, daily.
Get your prayer time in today, but not while you're doing other things. Instead, do so in PRIVATE, ONE-ON-ONE time with Him. This kind of meeting is where your change comes.
It is in the place of surrender, daily, that you learn to become transparent.
It is in this place that chains will be broken, and your relationship with the Father can be nurtured and thereby catapulted to another level.
Schedule Him in your days until you get to the point where you can't live without seeing Him, hearing Him, being with Him.
Daily.
What's Next: Make a God To-Do List. Let scheduled prayer and worship be at the top of that list. Make Him the priority starting today.
Prophesy: I am a new creature in Christ and I esteem this new life with the utmost respect. Therefore, I prioritize my Lord and Savior. I am a mighty prayer warrior! Just as Prophetess Huldah was, just as Hannah was, just as Hezekiah became in the time of need! Abba depends on me to bridge the gap and to stand on the wall and I do! Whatever I ask in prayer according to the word of the Lord, He answers! I enjoy God's presence and my most powerful position is prostrate before the Lord. In the mighty name of Jesus!

We've each been there. For some, it's a daily destination, while for others it is a faraway land that seems completely out of reach in this season. No matter who you are, the place of "Surrender" is within reach. It's where you will find your victory, your purpose, and yourself. Journey with Pastor Shauna D. Harrison on a 5-day journey deeper into the heart of the Father.
