Real Hope: God's Heart for YouPavyzdys
Safe in His Hands
As we near the end of perhaps the strangest year we may see in our lifetimes (here’s hoping, anyway), many of us will look back and take stock. We’ll ponder the jobs that have been lost. The travel that was cancelled. The pain of not being able to embrace, or even see a loved one, for months on end.
My wife’s family lives interstate, and this has meant, at the time of writing, we haven’t been able to see them all year. Parents that were once able to be visited by a fairly straightforward road trip are now only accessible through a tablet screen.
And yet, when we look back at 2020, we can see the ways that God has been faithful through it all, as He has been with us every step of the way. Because of Jesus, no amount of kilometers or distance (or even Internet outages) can separate us from Him. In fact, we are told that nobody and nothing can snatch us from the hand of the God who loves us. Isn’t that amazing?
God’s heart for us is that we would turn to Him in trust and follow Jesus as our shepherd. No matter what this year has been like, He has protected us through it all, and for that we owe Him thanks.
