Dealing With Injustice...

Have you ever asked God for justice? ⚖️

What should you do if you are falsely accused or robbed of justice? Appeal to heaven, and ask God to vindicate you.

King David faced insurmountable odds in his life. He came from a big family and was just a little shepherd boy, but God picked him to replace a compromising king. Talk about a tough assignment. He faced the dangers of the wilderness, killed a bear and a lion and spent countless nights under the stars guarding sheep. It’s likely the wilderness was where he learned how to appeal to God.

Psalm 43:1 says, “Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.” (NIV)

Have you ever appealed to heaven like David? Did God vindicate you?

I’ve been falsely accused, lied to and swindled, but I’ve never sued anyone. I’ve always appealed to heaven. It’s not the only way; it’s just my way.

Not long ago, our church was planning a drive-in Easter service because of the dangers of COVID-19. We were excited, but our governor forbade these events in our state a few days before the big day. We were devastated because we had planned a safe event that would still glorify Jesus. I immediately had calls asking me to take it to court or do it without permission, but I chose to appeal to heaven instead.

Three days before the planned event, I drove up into the mountains and prayed to our God. Within a few hours, I received a text from a Baptist pastor then a phone call from a city official. Before long, the decision was reversed, and we had an event that touched lives around the world.

Your challenges may be bigger or smaller than mine, but God is big enough to vindicate you. He loves you, and He loves justice.

You might be going through a divorce or in court for a legal matter, but I believe God will help vindicate you. He can speak to judges and kings because He is the Lord of all.

You’re a miracle.
