God Is Powerful

DAY 5 OF 7

Over the past few days, we’ve meditated on different aspects of God’s power...have they already made a difference in your life?

Today, I’d like to draw your attention to God’s generosity. We serve an incredibly generous God who pours blessings on us far beyond what we could ever comprehend or receive.

Here are some of the things God has given us:

  • Eternal life with a home in heaven (John 3:16 and John 14:2-3)
  • Forgiveness of our sins (1 John 1:9)
  • Beautiful creation for us to enjoy (Job 12:7-10)
  • New mercies every day (Lamentations 3:22-23)
  • Peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7)
  • A helper; the Holy Spirit (John 15:26)
  • The Bible; the Word of God (II Timothy 3:16-17)
  • Fullness of Joy (Psalms 16:11)
  • The Gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12)

God wants to be generous to you in every area of your life—your home, family, work, and all your endeavours (Deuteronomy 28).

The most powerful aspect of God’s generosity is that He gives freely and unconditionally; you cannot earn it.

“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” – Psalms 103:2-5

Counting your blessings is a great way to thank God for His generosity. There is an old hymn that says:

Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.”

I encourage you to do that today. The list I shared is just the tip of the iceberg. Can you think of more specific things God has given you? Make a list and see His generosity unfold!

Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
