DAY 3 OF 7

Day 3: God's Provision in Singleness

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 7:32-34
"I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife—and his interests are divided."

In a world that often celebrates marriage and parenthood, it can be easy to feel overlooked or incomplete when we are single or childless. However, Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 7 remind us that there is great value in singleness. When we are not divided by the concerns of marriage or children, we are able to focus more fully on serving God and fulfilling His calling in our lives. Singleness allows us to pursue God’s work with undivided attention.

Jesus Himself was single, and His life demonstrated that singleness is not a curse, but a unique opportunity to serve and love others. In His life and ministry, He modeled a life of complete devotion to the Father, and in doing so, He brought about eternal change. God has not left us without purpose in our singleness; He has a mission for us to accomplish, and He provides all the strength and grace we need to fulfill it.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of singleness and for the opportunity to serve You without distraction. Help me to see my life through Your eyes and to use this season for Your glory. May I find fulfillment in knowing that my ultimate purpose is found in loving and serving You, and may I trust that You will provide all I need to live out that purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
