He Cares for Your Plans

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

How great is it that the Lord's plans for us include prosperity, hope, and a future? That is pretty exciting. Then why do we get anxious when those plans are not going in the direction we want them to? From past and present personal experience, I will say our (mine, too!) trust needs to be with the Lord. It's much more freeing to put complete trust in Him, as any anxiety is minimized, knowing He is in control.

When we don't trust His plans for our lives, anxiety finds a way to take root, and that is not ideal for optimal health and well-being. If you are someone with constant anxiety, this creates stress on your immune function. Long-term anxiety could catapult us into a long journey of chronic sickness, which is not how God intends for us to live. One way to build up your body's strength is to limit sugar intake and increase water consumption so your cells may thrive.

For today's prayer, focus on giving complete trust to the Lord as He directs your steps towards a healthy hope and future.
