Week 3: The Cost of Love and Faith

Theme: Living in God’s Kingdom means embracing a love and faith that often defy our expectations, inviting us to sacrifice, trust, and grow in humility.

Focus Scripture: Mark 8:34-35 – “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Connect: Have you ever felt unseen, like no one truly knows your struggles or cares about what you’re going through? It’s easy to feel disconnected, but what happens when someone meets you right where you are and offers something better?

Engage In John 4, Jesus meets a woman at the well who was used to being avoided and judged. She was living a complicated, broken life, but Jesus didn’t reject her. Instead, He offered her “living water”—a new way of life that only He could provide. This moment reminds us that following Jesus means accepting His love, even when we don’t feel worthy of it. It’s not about what we’ve done but about what He offers: a love that transforms us.

Apply: Take a moment to think about an area of your life where you feel unseen or unworthy. Ask Jesus to meet you there, just like He met the woman at the well. Let His love fill that space and remind you of your value in God’s Kingdom.
