Walk This Wayಮಾದರಿ
Walk in the Light
When we think of light, nothing rivals the sun. Despite being 93 million miles away, it lights our whole world. Without a substitute, we are hopeless to see at night. Each day of our lives is measured by the sun. It warms us. It feeds us. We are utterly dependent on the sun. And Jesus, the Light of the world, simply spoke it into existence.
In doing so, Jesus has given us a powerful illustration of His role in the world. In our sin, we were stumbling in darkness. Slaves to sin, we were doomed to eternal separation from God in His holiness. At the cross, Christ conquered sin and death. He allowed Himself to be put to death and have His body put in a dark tomb. The devil and his dark forces thought they had won. But the Light conquered the darkness as the Son and sun rose that first Easter morning.
If we have said “yes” to a relationship with Jesus, His daily desire is to be the Light of our lives. Through His Word, He illuminates the best way to live this life. He is always committed to our growth – growth that cannot happen apart from Him! Each day presents a new opportunity for our hearts to be warmed by our personal worship of Him.
Our illuminating Savior does not want any of us to walk in darkness. Take a moment to allow Him to “shine the light” on any areas of your life where a change is needed. Perhaps it is self-centered thinking or priorities that are too worldly. Maybe it is a behavior that needs to change. Bring that behavior into His light! He is faithful to forgive and to light a clear path forward. Think of some ways your relationship with “the Light” has brightened your life. How might He want to use you in the days and weeks ahead to light up this dark world?
Reflect & Pray
Lord Jesus, please light up Your path for my life today. I worship You for being the Light of my world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
Throughout time, and especially in the Bible, the word “walk” has been used as a metaphor to describe the course, cadence, and overall spiritual direction of our lives. From the Garden of Eden to the present day, part of God’s redemptive call and work is teaching His children to “walk this way,” giving direction, counsel, and guidance to our steps. One thing is clear: He cares how we live our lives and desires that we journey through this life in a way that counts.
