We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 250 OF 365

Day 250 of 365

In Isaiah 1 and 2, God calls out the people of Judah for their empty rituals and prideful hearts, urging them to repent and live righteously. He reminds them that true worship is about justice, humility, and a heart that genuinely seeks Him. Similarly, Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 11 reveal his willingness to suffer for Christ’s sake, embracing humility as he depends solely on God’s strength. The Holy Spirit guides us into a life of humility, where we let go of pride and self-reliance and instead trust fully in God’s grace.

Walking in humility means recognizing our limitations and relying on God’s strength in all circumstances. The Spirit reshapes our hearts, reminding us that our worth and purpose are found in Him alone, not in our achievements or outward displays. True humility opens us up to deeper intimacy with God, allowing His love to transform every aspect of our lives and inspiring others to seek Him.

Today, invite the Holy Spirit to cultivate humility in your heart. Ask Him to reveal areas where you may be relying on yourself rather than on God. Embrace a posture of surrender, trusting that God’s strength is sufficient, and let your life reflect His love and compassion to those around you.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
