We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

DAY 254 OF 365

Day 254 of 365

In 2 Chronicles 29, King Hezekiah restores worship in the temple, leading a movement of repentance and reconsecration among the people. His heart for God ignites a spiritual revival, inspiring the nation to turn back to Him. Similarly, in Acts 19, we see the power of true worship as the people of Ephesus renounce their idols and embrace faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit transforms hearts, calling us to pure worship that is centered on God alone, cleansing us from distractions and drawing us deeper into His presence.

Worship isn’t just about singing; it’s about surrendering our whole hearts to God. When we approach Him with reverence, acknowledging His holiness, the Spirit moves powerfully in us, transforming and reviving our souls. Our lives become testimonies of God’s love, attracting others to His light and leading them away from things that cannot truly satisfy.

Today, invite the Holy Spirit to revive your heart for worship. Let go of anything that competes for your devotion and dedicate yourself fully to God. May your worship inspire those around you, bringing others to experience the peace, freedom, and joy found in surrender to Him.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
