We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to Godಮಾದರಿ

Day 176 of 365
In 1 Kings, Solomon builds a magnificent temple as a dwelling place for God’s presence, dedicating his time and resources to honor God’s glory. However, in Acts 7, Stephen reminds us that God doesn’t dwell in buildings made by human hands alone. Through the Holy Spirit, we become temples of God’s presence, called to reflect His holiness in our lives. Building for God’s glory is no longer about physical structures; it’s about crafting lives that honor Him.
The Spirit calls us to let God’s presence shape every aspect of who we are. Like Solomon’s dedication to the temple, we are invited to dedicate our lives as sacred spaces for God, pursuing holiness and surrendering to His will. Building for God’s glory means allowing Him to mold our character, shaping us into vessels that honor Him.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to help you build a life that reflects God’s glory. Dedicate your actions, thoughts, and words to Him, seeking to be a living sanctuary for His presence. May your life honor God in all you do, pointing others to His greatness and love.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
