We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to Godಮಾದರಿ

Day 179 of 365
In Ecclesiastes, Solomon reflects on the fleeting nature of life, declaring that “all is vanity” when pursued apart from God. Even wisdom, work, and pleasure feel meaningless without eternal purpose. This sobering reflection urges us to seek fulfillment in God rather than temporary pursuits. In Acts 9, we witness Saul’s radical encounter with Jesus, where he finds new purpose beyond his former life. The Holy Spirit transforms Saul’s life from one of self-centered ambition to a mission of eternal significance, demonstrating that true purpose is found only in God.
The Spirit invites us to live with an eternal perspective, finding purpose not in earthly success but in walking with God and serving His kingdom. Like Saul, our lives are transformed when we shift from self-centered goals to a God-centered mission, embracing a purpose that goes beyond our limited understanding.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you live with eternity in mind. Surrender your pursuits to God, allowing Him to shape your desires and actions for His purposes. May you find deep fulfillment, knowing that your life is part of a much greater, eternal story.

About this Plan

We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to God is a 365-day Bible reading plan led by Bishop Gary Lewis, the General Overseer of the Church of God. The plan is designed to deepen your faith and understanding of God’s Word. Each day begins with a short devotional, followed by carefully curated Scripture readings, and concludes with the S.O.A.P. exercise—Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Through this plan, you’ll grow in biblical literacy, discover God’s mercy and purpose, and learn to partner with Him in His Kingdom work.
