DAY 4 OF 5

Day 4: Trusting God with Your Business Growth

Theme: Surrendering Your Plans and Trusting His Timing
Scripture: "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." — Proverbs 16:9

Devotional

As a Christian mom in business, it’s easy to get caught up in the pressure to grow your business quickly. You might have goals, dreams, and visions for your work that you feel passionate about achieving. But in the hustle to reach your business goals, it’s important to remember that your growth and success are in God’s hands, not your own.

Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that while we may plan and strategize, it is the Lord who ultimately directs our steps. This truth can bring a sense of peace, knowing that we are not solely responsible for making things happen. God is at work in the unseen moments, orchestrating things in His perfect timing.

When I first started my business, I had a very clear vision for how I wanted things to unfold. I had a roadmap in mind, but it didn’t always go as planned. There were delays, setbacks, and moments where I wondered if I was on the right path. But as I continued to pray and trust God, I began to realize that He was working in ways I couldn’t yet understand. His timing was perfect, and the doors that opened were ones He had prepared for me all along.

Trusting God with your business growth means surrendering your timeline to Him. It means acknowledging that He is in control of the opportunities, the relationships, and the resources you need. Your role is to remain faithful, keep working diligently, and stay open to His guidance. When you do this, you can rest assured that He will lead you to where you need to be.

God’s plan for your business may not always look like what you envisioned, but it will always be better. Trust that His ways are higher than your ways and that He will bring about growth in the right time and in the best way possible. Your success is not measured by how fast you grow, but by how faithfully you walk with Him.

Reflection Questions

  1. Are there areas in your business where you feel the need to surrender your plans to God?
  2. How do you react when things don’t go as planned in your business?
  3. Can you recall a time when God's timing worked out better than your own?

Action Step

Today, take a moment to evaluate your business plans. Ask God to reveal any areas where you need to trust Him more and let go of your own timeline. Write down any steps you can take to surrender your business growth to Him and seek His guidance in your next steps.

Devotional Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the work You have called me to. I trust that You have a plan for my business, and I surrender my goals and dreams into Your hands. Help me to trust You with the growth of my business, knowing that Your timing and direction are always perfect. Teach me to rely on You rather than my own efforts, and remind me that I am not alone in this journey. In Jesus' name, Amen.
