Be Humble

DAY 12 OF 28

All of us have weaknesses, right? Often, it is easy to feel ashamed of the broken parts of ourselves. Doesn’t it sound crazy that Paul would boast not about his strengths but instead about his weaknesses? It is even crazier to think this message is for us, too. It’s wild to think that God’s power is made perfect in our weaknesses.

That means that when we are weak, we can create more space for others to see the grace and power of God. It is incredible to think God even wants to display power through our weakness, but in a way, that is exactly what happened when God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus showed His power over our weaknesses once and for all by rising from the grave. No weakness is too great for His grace and glory to shine through. All we have to do is let Him!

How can you allow God’s power to be displayed in your weaknesses? Where in your life do you need to receive God’s grace? Without God, our messy lives can feel even messier. With God, we have hope that God can make something beautiful in the middle of our mess.
