The Life of Davidಮಾದರಿ
Day 27: 2 Sam. 21-22 x Peter Slover, Executive Pastor/COO at UPPERROOM
Leadership, Choices, and Jesus.
Leadership, whether leading your family, leading a team, leading your home, or leading yourself, requires choices and Jesus. Choices that we have made and those in our lives have made have the ability to impact us not only in our current situation, but also from generations in the past. Our ability to realize and to seek God's input on situations empowers us to hear from Him and to take the necessary steps to address bad choices or sin so that we can appropriate the blood of Jesus that has made a way to cleanse us from our current and past consequences of sin, allowing us to walk in forgiveness and fellowship with Him. Our focus should remain on Jesus, His leadership, and His unwavering commitment to helping us become more like Him as we walk out our individual journeys. A heart of thanksgiving and a voice of praise is a key that helps us unlock access to His presence in our lives, thereby posturing our hearts before our Lord and King where He can reveal, shape, and direct us into the person He has called us to be in Him.
Prayer: Jesus, I need Your leadership in my life, and I ask that You reveal any area(s) that need to be addressed and covered by Your blood – areas that I am aware of and those that I am not aware of. Thank You for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation poured out so that I may see and address those things that hinder me from walking more fully in Your light. I thank You for making a way when there was no way, I thank You for giving Your broken body so that I may be whole, and I thank You for Your blood that washes and cleanses me from all unrighteousness, and I come boldly to You with a repentant heart seeking Your face and Your heart for my life. Thank You, Jesus, for leading me so well!

About this Plan
“The Life of David” is an in-depth study through 1-2 Samuel. Together, we will look at how David stewarded his heart through the complexities and challenges he faced. This month-long study will bring biblical context to why we do what we do as a community: ministering to the Lord and establishing a resting place for Him.
