21 Days Prayer & Fasting "Alive in Calling"

DAY 19 OF 21

BE A WITNESS

When a king passes away, his heir must be ready to take his position and continue the king's work in the kingdom. To do it correctly, the heir must understand the king's heart for the nation, either through conversations or the will left by the king. In Acts 1:8, the King of all kings has given us His heirs, His final words before He left this earth. He desires us to be His witnesses to the world.

A witness possesses evidence or knowledge of an event from observation or personal experience. What are we trying to prove? What have we experienced? Being His witness means we must prove to others what He has accomplished in our lives. We can bear witness to Christ through both our spoken words and our actions.

Acts 1:8 also calls for us to share the Good News and be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. It begins with those closest to us. Who are the closest individuals with whom you can share the Good News? They are our family and friends who are with us every day.

Jesus, the King of Heaven, understands that we cannot be witnesses with our own strength and abilities; we are not strong or brave enough to do so. Therefore, He has granted us the Holy Spirit as a helper and a source of power to enable us to fulfill our calling as His witnesses. Let us be His witnesses, starting from our homes, schools, workplaces, cities, countries, nations, and to the ends of the earth.

PRAYER
Lord Jesus, as heirs to Your throne, grant us the same heart as Yours to love the lost world. Instill in us the desire to share the Good News with others. Holy Spirit, empower me to be Your witness. In Your name, I pray and receive Your power.
