Confident in His Plan
He is in control! If God knows all and has prepared great things for us to do ahead of time. It means we don’t need to stress or strive. We don’t need to panic about the future. We can trust that He is in control.
Matthew 10:30 But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
Job 14:5 Since his days are determined, and the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass,
He is not worried about the future of the world. He is not in a panic. He is in control of our lives. He knows our bodies, he knows our death date. It’s not a surprise and that should bring us great comfort!
He calls us not to worry. We are so often fearful people. And Satan wants to keep us fearful. There is a reason news is usually bad. There is a reason we fly into panic mode when a virus hits, a crisis is looming, or life is just a little tough. The enemy wants us to be ruled by fear. Rest in the strong grip of the Father. He has it all in hand.
Fear is the key thing that holds us back from living the purposeful life Jesus has for us. We say no to the calling of God because we are afraid. We say yes to the safe comfortable life because we are afraid of the cost.
But we don’t have to be afraid. And we shouldn’t be. Why? Because there is a God who not only knows the future, but is actively working it all out. Nothing happening in the entire world catches God by surprise. He knows it all and He works it all.
So be encouraged! He has prepared our lives and what He has called us to ahead of time. Don’t be afraid of the future. There is a good God who knows, who loves and has a plan for your life. Don’t try to fight Him and make your own plan. Don’t try to get to a life of fulfilment another way. He knows best. Take his path.
Walk humbly with Him each day. Enjoy the wonderful gift of Grace He provides. Use the gifts that He has given us to bring blessing to others, and as a result we will experience a wonderful sense of peace and purpose knowing we are in the safe hands of a loving powerful God.
Action Point: Take a moment to commit your life afresh to the Lord! Ask Him to make your life count for all eternity. That is a prayer He longs to answer!
