Has God Already Spoken?

I recently received, on very short notice, this really special invitation to a very exclusive event by a globally acclaimed DJ!

I received the invitation with the words, "We need an answer right away," while I was in the recording studio for an important project for "A Miracle for Every Day" (which, by the way, you will hear about very soon).

I was torn between whether I actually had time for this, or whether God wanted me at this event to testify of Him.

I was getting restless, so I prayed, "Lord, please speak to me through my producer." During a break in the recording, and with absolute calm, the producer answered my question. "Look, you can go there and you will have a nice evening, but believe me, the people there are not out to hear what you do. That's about totally different things."

A straight answer, and do you know what's funny? Or human? I realized I didn't want to hear that answer! Ha ha. Can you identify with me?

Fortunately, God is patient! It wasn't until I was talking to a friend later that she said, "Déborah, God doesn't open a door for you to testify about Him and at the same time give you a bad feeling about it."

Only then did it click! I had to decide to complete my journey and the mission on this project for which God had given me a ton of peace. I had to move on without looking right or left.

“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”Isaiah 30:21 NIV)

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3 NIV)

Is there a situation in your life where you need to decide to continue on your way without looking to the right or left? Has God possibly already spoken, but you too don't quite want to admit it?

Perhaps you too, need to stand up in obedience today and continue on your path pointed out to you by God.
