The Missing Piece

Have you tried to improve your fitness in the past and couldn’t make lasting changes? If so, I am glad you’re here so that I can share with you what I’ve discovered is such an important piece in reaching your fitness goals. I’m Michelle, the founder of Faithful Workouts, and I’ve worked with 1,000s of people over the past 38 years and the consistent thing I see that's holding people back from making healthy, lasting changes is that they aren’t integrating their faith into their fitness plan.

In John 10:10 Jesus tells us that He came so that we could live to the fullest, he never intended for us to do life on our own. The truth is, you don’t have the discipline and self-control needed to make lasting changes without Him (none of us do). In Matthew 28 Jesus makes this promise, “I will be with you always even unto the ends of the world.” He is present and active in your life waiting for you to tap into His limitless power and resources!

Henry Nouwen points out how important it is to include Him in all parts of your life. He states, “I realized that God's love is a jealous love. God wants not just part of me, but all of me. Only when I surrender myself completely to God's parental love, can I expect to be free from endless distractions, ready to hear the Voice of Love, and able to recognize my own unique call. Every time I pray, I feel the struggle. It is the struggle of letting God be the God of my whole being. It is the struggle to trust that true freedom lies hidden in total surrender to God's love."

Trust is the foundation of all relationships including our relationship with God. In order to trust God, you need to know Him. The best way to know Him is by spending time with Him. Invite God into all areas of your life and that includes your fitness plan. Use our ABCs of fitness: Ask Him to help you. Believe He can help. Check your motives.

The Missing Piece

When we don’t reach our fitness and weight loss goals, we often think we need to eat less and exercise more. From my 38 years in the fitness industry, I’ve found that what is keeping so many from succeeding isn’t solely about exercise and food but about something much bigger. In this 5-day plan, I am excited to share that missing piece with you and how you incorporate it into your health plan so you can find success, joy, and freedom.
