The Now Generation Leaderಮಾದರಿ
Teamwork
Do you work well with a team? There are days it can seem like it would be much easier to work alone, but as a leader, you must think about “we above me.” Even if someone plays a small role on your team, it’s your job as a leader to believe in their strengths.
The book of Ecclesiastes explains how two people are far better off than one. If one person falls, the second can help them up. As a leader, it can be tempting to build up a façade to seem strong or unbreakable. You must refrain from doing this. A leader who stands alone is bound to fall.
Instead of thinking of ways to achieve a goal alone, imagine your team or peers as many moving parts that act together as one body of Christ, just as the Bible mentions in 1 Corinthians. Each part is necessary and vital to the success of the body. Without a team of people working alongside you, your body will fail.
Give praise where it is due and patient instruction when it is needed.
Challenge: A leader will work with others to achieve a common goal. Thank two people today for their hard work.
About this Plan
As a young adult, you are not the leader of tomorrow. You are the leader of today. In this 14-day plan, the Life.Church LeadershipXP team will provide practical, biblical advice to help young leaders develop into the leader Christ has created them to be. Each day includes a practical challenge aimed to help put what you learn through your reading into practice.
