Courageous Leading
Being a leader can be scary. Whether you’re an old pro or just getting comfortable with taking charge, there will be times you may be unsure of where to turn or what to do next.
People are not always going to agree with your beliefs or trust in your ability to get the job done. Over time, the relationships in your life will have time to mature and grow stronger. However, there may come a day where you have no idea what to do. Thankfully, we serve a great leader whose promises are clearly written out for us in the Bible.
In Psalm chapter 33, we are reminded that the Lord’s plans stand firm, and His intentions can never be shaken. His plan for our life is far greater than we could ever imagine. Throughout your life, you may find God calling you to do something out of your comfort zone. Your heart may be compelled to be a leader where no one else has stepped up. When the waters rise and you feel like sinking, ask God for help. Pray every day for the perfect words to say and things to do. Just because we’re leading others doesn’t mean we can’t also be led in the right direction.
Challenge: A leader will trust in the Lord’s plan. Think of three ways you could get out of your comfort zone this week.
About this Plan
As a young adult, you are not the leader of tomorrow. You are the leader of today. In this 14-day plan, the Life.Church LeadershipXP team will provide practical, biblical advice to help young leaders develop into the leader Christ has created them to be. Each day includes a practical challenge aimed to help put what you learn through your reading into practice.
