The Secret to Walking in Supernatural Peace… Every Day
Have you found yourself feeling overwhelmed recently? Our minds are barraged every day by news of war, rising inflation, natural disasters, divisions, and so on. We are constantly bombarded by intense advertising, news, and information, as well as non-stop communication through texts, emails, and phone calls. As a result of this immense pressure, many of us find ourselves stuck battling unhealthy thoughts, doubts, worries, insecurities, and fears.
Friends, there is a battle we all face—and it begins in our minds.
The good news is we don’t have to live in fear—buried beneath the weight of stress and anxiety. When challenges come, we can see things through faith and live in the supernatural peace of God. The key is to watch our thoughts and be aware of what we are meditating on. Some questions I frequently ask myself are, “What I am I thinking about? Are my thoughts right now based upon God’s truth or life’s ever-changing circumstances?”
There are few things in life more powerful and influential than our thoughts—which is why it’s so important we not only monitor them, but renew them. What you think and believe determines what you feel and do. As a result, the enemy loves to invade the realm of our thoughts. Jesus says in John 10:10 (NKJV), “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…”
Rather than listening to the lying thoughts, emotions, and slandering accusations of the enemy, we must learn to take responsibility for our thoughts and then submit them to God’s Word. That’s why, in 2 Corinthians 10:5, Paul says we as believers are to focus on …bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ… As we choose to do this daily, the renewing of our minds begins, and we start winning the mind games of life!
As you engage with God’s Word:
● What is God saying to me?
● What does it mean to me?
● How can I apply what God is teaching me?
● How can I be specific in prayer today?
After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.
