The Power of Father Loveಮಾದರಿ
Love Never Quits
Some fathers have committed to loving their children under complicated circumstances. One such man is Isaac.
Isaac had changed. The thirty-something-year-old had spent his youth as a womanizer. The result was three children with three different mothers. He had since become a Christ-follower, older and wiser. Now, wanting to be a better father to his children, Isaac reached out to each of the mothers. He apologized for his bad choices, asked for their forgiveness, and promised to do better. Two were forgiving and began granting access to the children for parenting time. One mother, however, was bitter. She refused to forgive and denied him time with his child.
Isaac was heartbroken but determined to be a better father to all of his children. Despite a low-wage job and three child support orders, he refused to give up on being a good dad. The one mother continued to resist Isaac’s efforts to be a co-parent. He could have quit trying, but he had decided to be part of his children’s lives no matter what. That meant continuing to pray and fight for a relationship with them. He kept his promise. That is the power of love.
Love always perseveres and never fails (1 Corinthians 13:7-8). In loving us, Father God never gives up on seeking a relationship with us. He even sacrificed His Son for us, His earthly children (John 3:16). Jesus, in His total and unconditional love for us, gave His life to make our relationship with the Father possible. He suffered unspeakably, yet never gave up - ever. His love is eternal, and nothing can ever separate us from His love.
In your prayer time, include intercession for parents who are enduring much as they struggle to build nurturing relationships with their children, whether their difficulties are of their own making or are due to circumstances beyond their control. Ask Father God to give them a love for their children that never quits.
