A Confident Momಮಾದರಿ
Soul Care
Here are some simple ways to let God love you through intentional heart and soul care:
- Whisper a prayer before your feet touch the floor each morning. Invite Jesus into your day and ask Him to pour enough of His grace and truth into your heart to give you an abundance of what you need and enough to share with your children. “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long” (Psalm 25:4-5).
- Take time to read God’s Word or listen to Scripture in a Bible app. Ask Jesus to increase your hunger for His Word and your awareness of His presence. “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope” (Romans 15:4).
- Listen to worship music, Christian audiobooks, and podcasts that encourage your heart. “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ” (Romans 10:17).
- Surround yourself with friends who encourage you in your relationship with God and your role as a mom. Pray for and encourage them too. “The sweetness of a friend comes from his earnest counsel” (Proverbs 27:9).
God pursues you because He wants to be with you, in your ups and your downs. He wants to encourage and help you as a mom, but more than anything, He wants to love and lead you as His child. He invites you to come to Him to experience what it’s like to be loved, not for what you do but simply because you are His.
Lord, help me believe the promises of Your love for me. When I feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or invisible, remind me that You see me, and You are pursuing me because You want to be with me and talk to me. You are the only One who can help me see what my heart really needs. I want to value my time with You more and find creative ways to be with You no matter how busy I am. Help me pull away from “the crowds” of life and find a quiet place to let You take care of my heart and soul. Amen.
