Durable Faithಮಾದರಿ
Living Faith
Okay, you’ve learned about what faith is. You’ve learned that faith can be tested and come out stronger than ever. But, maybe you’re wondering: Is my faith in God just for me? Maybe just so that I’ll go to heaven when I die? But is it good for anything right now?
If you’re wondering those things, then you’re on the right track.
Yes, faith in God through Jesus is incredibly important for you, personally. But did you know that it’s for others, too? Yup. God loves every last human. He wants those of us who love Him to love others, too! How? By putting our faith into action.
Watch this video from Jason, a great friend of The Loop Show.
Durable faith is operational. It’s up and running, actively looking for places to jump in headfirst. Believing in God isn’t what makes you one of His followers any more than believing in skateboards makes you Tony Hawk. But, the more you put your faith into practice and actually do the things you feel God nudging you to do—the more confidence you find. Active faith makes certain faith.
Remember what Jason said about the three stages of putting your faith into action.
First comes the nudge. God guides you. He prompts you to step into a situation and act.
Next comes the drop-in. You do step in and act, no matter what! God is with you.
Finally comes the other side. You look back and see what God did through you. God is faithful. And your faith in Him grows.
You’re living out your faith. You’re walking in step with God. You’re using His eyes to look at the world around you, and you’re not afraid to drop in and help where you can. Your faith is real. Your faith can stretch without breaking. Your faith comes alive with action. Your faith is durable and will last your whole life long.
Ask yourself: What are you thinking about dropping in on? In other words, is there a nudge from God you’ve been ignoring? How can you put your faith into action this week?
Challenge yourself: Well, you guessed it. It’s time to drop in to the situation from the “Ask yourself” question above. God has seen your growth and progress. He’s asking you to step forward into discomfort and do the next right thing.
Pray: God, thank You for giving my faith something to do. Thank You for letting me join You in reaching, serving, and loving everyone. I love You, and I want my faith in You to be alive with action! Help me to have durable faith that lasts my whole life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
