Through the Bible: Numbersಮಾದರಿ
God Deserves It All
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the people of Israel and say to them, ‘My offering, my food for my food offerings, my pleasing aroma, you shall be careful to offer to me at its appointed time.’”
Numbers 28:1-2 (ESV)
These you shall offer to the Lord at your appointed feasts, in addition to your vow offerings and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your grain offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
Numbers 28:39 (ESV)
In today’s scriptures, we can see that the Lord lays down through Moses the specific requirements for sacrifices that have to happen each day, each week, each month, and on specific days. It is a continuous act of coming before God, to seek Him, and to have fellowship with Him day in and out. If we add up all the animals, grains, and drinks required, it is also quite extravagant.
Even though the sacrificial system was abolished when Jesus rose from the dead, the principles remain. We are to come before Him continuously with the best that we have. Our Creator, our Saviour, Our God deserves it all.
Is there anything that stops us from coming before God continuously? Is there anything that causes us to offer the leftovers, as opposed to the best that we have? Do we worship Him at our terms instead of His?
Prayer:
Father God, You are the provider and our deliverer. Your love never fails, even when we failed You. Lord open our eyes to see Your glory and help us to draw close to You, bringing the best that You have given us for You deserve it all. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan
The book of Numbers, as the Hebrew name suggests, is the Israelites’ travelogue in the wilderness, from Mount Sinai to the plains of Moab, right before entering the Promised Land. Because of the Israelites’ disobedience, the 11-day journey turned to 40 years! But rest assured, God always restore His people to the place of blessings as soon as we return to Him. Come journey through Numbers with us.
