Who Are You Going to Believe?ಮಾದರಿ
The Revelation of Who You Are Will Determine Your Convictions to Overcome
Have you ever compared yourself to anyone? Have you ever thought that someone is more or less than you?
We've all fallen into the comparison game at some point in our lives. And that's exactly what was happening with the Israelites in today's passage, "Compared to them, we were like locusts, and that's how they saw us."
When you get into the comparison game, you see yourself in the wrong way. The Israelites saw themselves as locusts and did not believe they could conquer and inherit what God had promised them.
If you listen to the wrong voices and focus your gaze on what they are pointing to, you will end up looking the wrong way.
While Jesus was in the wilderness, in His forty days of testing, the enemy said to him three times, "if you are the Son of God...". Jesus' identity, the revelation of who He is, was tested at that time. But He answered every time with certainty, because the test could not shake his identity.
Many times, when we feel alone or isolated, the enemy begins to question our identity and our value. We end up underestimating ourselves. We feel that we will not be able to endure another day. Because he is an expert in sowing lies and negativity. But when we are certain of who we are in Christ Jesus, we receive enough assurance to overcome.
Don't let your identity be shaken. Don't allow the circumstances around you affect the perception of who you really are.
According to the Bible, you are chosen by God. You have been forgiven. You are the head and not the tail. You belong to a Holy nation. You are more than a conqueror and you are strong in the Lord. The Word declares to us that we are sons and daughters of God.
If you know who you are in Him, there is nothing and no one that can shake your identity, and you will have firm and strong convictions. You are a child of God, and that is why you can keep moving forward and progressing, because He is with you!
Prayer: Father, remind me of who I am in You and that You are faithful. I thank You that I can hear Your voice that reveals all Truth to lead me into a glorious future. In Jesus' name. Amen.
