In But Not Of: Protected, But Not Safe—Part 3ಮಾದರಿ
Sent Out
Think back to when you watched your role model do something and then you tried to copy them and be just like them. Maybe you tried to make the same shot they did, or draw the same thing they did, or act just like them. Whatever it was, this person modeled something for you and you tried to follow it. Thankfully, Jesus did the exact same thing for us.
You will find that anytime Jesus asked something of His followers, it was something He had already done or would be willing to do. Jesus led by example. You can find Him setting an example in John 17:18 NLT: “Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.”
Jesus was sent into this world on a mission from His Father. That mission was saving the world, sacrificing Himself for you and everyone who has lived and will live. But throughout it all, He always pointed back to the Father, praising Him. That is what Jesus wants for your life today. He wants you to be on mission, to be sent out, sharing with everyone around you the Good News of the Gospel. This doesn’t mean that you have to travel to another country to do this. Jesus spread the Good News to the people around Him, the people He knew and lived near.
Who can you share the Gospel with who doesn’t know Jesus?

About this Plan
As Jesus shifts His prayers to the disciples, He asks God for protection from this world. And while Jesus prays for protection, it doesn’t mean that we will be safe. Jesus knows that the world will hate those that follow Him, but He prays that the Word would sustain the head, hearts, and hands of those who follow Him. Part 3
