LIFESTYLE AS GOD’S WORSHIPER
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24)
In the book Extravagant Worship, Darlene Zschech wrote, “When we worship Jesus, we declare His kingdom and announce His presence.”
As Christians, we understand that worship doesn’t just mean singing Christian songs or doing spiritual activities at church. But worship is a lifestyle that we need to put into everyday’s life practice.
In Luke 10:38-42, when Jesus came to the house of Mary and Martha, Martha was so busy ministering to Jesus while Mary only sat near his feet and listened to him. Jesus said that Mary had chosen the best part that would not be taken away from her (Luke 10:42).
There are so many things that can confiscate our energy and time: work, family, career, hobbies, our hang-out time with friends, and even our ministries. But, let‘s not miss the first priority in life. That is, to build an intimate relationship with God.
Let us possess a lifestyle of worship every day by preparing special time to commune with God personally by praying, praising, and worshiping God and meditating on His Word.
As God promised in Matthew 6:33, to those who first seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, everything shall be added. Amen.
A worshiper's lifestyle is one who first gives priority to his relationship with God.
