Arise Empowered

DAY 3 OF 3

One thing I remember hearing in my spirit was, "But how did you respond?" We can spend immeasurable time focusing on what someone else did or didn't do; so much so that we forget an important thing. You can only control you! Good character is so important. We must remember that we are to bring goodness to our household even more than we do our jobs, our friends, our churches, and so forth. Of all the goodness that we do in the world, let's make sure it reaches our home first. Let it also be the type of goodness that is not conditional on anyone else's behavior.

I recall once taking a walk with my family, and my son and daughter stopped to pick and hand me flowers. It was in that moment that verse 28 came to my mind. Don't take for granted the gestures like these ones—they're not as small as we've claimed them to be.

That moment reminded me that my family loves and appreciates me. Others will take notice of your character, ma'am. Because of how you are with your husband, your home won't suffer. Because of your care as a mother, you will inspire other women. Because of your walk, you will inspire others in their walk with Christ Jesus.

Questions:

· Is your goodness conditional?

· Are you only good to those who are good to you?

About this Plan

Arise Empowered

I believe the "Proverbs 31 woman" was spoken about in the Holy Bible to empower us. Whether we realize it or not, we each have many of the attributes attributed to her in us already. Allow this devotional to encourage you. I've highlighted some things that stuck out to me. In doing so, I hope we can gain perspective from one another.
