Arise Empowered

DAY 2 OF 3

Think of the effort it takes to be vulnerable with someone. For the husband described in this passage to trust his wife so completely means that she earned it. The husband is the head of the household, after Christ, of course, but the wife plays a role in decision-making. In Genesis 3, we see the influence that Eve had with Adam. Though it wasn't the best decision made in history, we can still use this story in the Bible as a point of reference. Sis, you are more influential than you know.

As women of God, shouldn't we use our influence to bring peace to our homes? If you are currently single as I am, that doesn't negate this truth. Men, although they are strong and tough, need to know that there is someone trustworthy whom they can count on. While their friends are confidants, there is a different level of vulnerability with their wives. I've watched so many women quietly cover their husbands in prayer; how beautiful and admirable it is.

Recall from day one, we are still growing and maturing, and this is our opportunity to continuously do so. We don't have to be our husband's peace, that's Christ's role. We are, however, called to be trustworthy by him.

Questions:

· Can you be trusted?

· Has God been giving you chances to be trusted by Him?

About this Plan

Arise Empowered

I believe the "Proverbs 31 woman" was spoken about in the Holy Bible to empower us. Whether we realize it or not, we each have many of the attributes attributed to her in us already. Allow this devotional to encourage you. I've highlighted some things that stuck out to me. In doing so, I hope we can gain perspective from one another.
