Crash

DAY 13 OF 30

“Faith That Heals”

Have you ever met someone who isn’t embarrassed about anything? Someone who seems to be themselves at all times – no matter what people think of them? Bartimaeus was just that way. He saw something that he wanted and was unashamed in making that known.

One thing that middle school students often struggle with is being ashamed of their faith in Jesus Christ. For some reason, we feel like everyone around us is just waiting for another chance to judge us.

Looking at the life of Bartimaeus is interesting because he probably got judged all the time. After all, he was blind and he was a beggar. He probably hated how people viewed him and treated him. When Jesus crashed into his life, he no longer cared how people looked at him because he knew that Jesus was the answer to all his problems. He was unashamed to put his faith in Jesus, even in front of a large crowd.

Pray
- Thank God that He is not ashamed of us. If we are followers of Jesus, the Bible tells us that God has wiped our slate clean.
- Maybe you need to confess to God that you have been too ashamed to proclaim the name of Jesus in your life. If that is you, tell Him you’re sorry.
- Finally, pray for courage and opportunities to talk to your friends about Jesus.
