Crash

DAY 15 OF 30

“Jesus Raises A Widow’s Son”

The widow in the story today finds out firsthand what it means to crash into Jesus. Her son has died and she is in the funeral procession with a crowd from town. Her husband is already dead and now her only son has died. She is essentially all alone in the world. Jesus sees her and “crash” His heart goes out to her. He knows her story. He feels her pain. He has compassion for her.

Everyone has a story. A great way to share with someone who Jesus is would be to tell them some of your story. Share a crash moment you have had with Jesus. They may not believe in Jesus but they will see your belief in Him. This may challenge them to think about Jesus in a new way. We can use our tough times to help others during their hurting times. When Jesus reached out to the widow, the crowd witnessed His compassion for the hurting. The crowd then went and told others about how God had come to help His people. Here’s the challenge: go tell others about how God has come to help His people by sharing one of your crash moments with them.

Pray
- Who are three people in your life that would be encouraged if you shared your crash story with them? Ask God to help you share your story with them.
- Thank God for caring about your hurting times as well as your happy times.
