Fear Busters (Week 3)

DAY 2 OF 7

Day Two - Jesus makes a way for us.

Hello Mini Fear Busters, how are you all doing?  Did you have fun thinking of a creative way to remember the memory verse?

Today we are going to explore how God wants us to know Him better and live our lives always following Him.

Remember yesterday we looked at how because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience God’s people were separated from Him?  But God had a plan……..

READ:

‘The Last Supper’ from the Beginners Bible (Page 442-445) or in Luke 22:7-20.  Jesus had gathered all of His disciples for a meal - just like when you have dinner with your family! He wanted to spend time with them because he knew this would be the last meal that Jesus was going to have with His disciples before He left them.  Jesus explained that it was time for Him to go away, that where He was going the disciples couldn’t go yet.  Jesus told them that He was going to go to heaven to prepare a wonderful new home for them all, but He would return to them soon. Jesus told His disciples that ‘at first you will be very sad, but don’t be frightened.  Soon you will understand and you will be filled with joy’!

ASK:

Have you ever been unsure or frightened about anything?

Jesus tells us not to be frightened because soon we will understand and be filled with joy!

What can you remember today that helps you not to be frightened?

REMEMBER:

“Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross. But he is not here. He has risen from death as he said he would. " (Matthew 28:5-6 ICB)

SAY - FEARBUSTER PRAYER:

You are bigger than my fears. You wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of you! This sickness just won't do, we tell it now to QUIT. We've had enough of it!
