THE LIVING WORD

Sometimes we like to pretend. We pretend that we know the fabulous artist well, or we know the Korean drama artist very well because we watch their films and we read a lot about their life and what happens to them. But we never interact directly with them and actually we know nothing about them. Often in our Christian life we do the same thing with God. We often say that we know God well, we are close to God, but in reality, it is not so. Because in our daily life, we do not obey God’s commands, even we do not know His commands because we do not have an intimate time with Him every day. We do not meet Him in our closet. We make no time to read and meditate on His word.

We learn today, in 1 John 2:4 that we are like liars (people who lie, whether it be to others or even ourselves) when we do not obey His commands and do His will. Let us not be a person only with a "Christian" status, but let our lives show Christ within us. 

Today, let us become someone who not only says we know Him, but let us live our lives showing deeds from our hearts according to His will. Let the people around us also know God through our life shining His glory.

Obedience is more than just a sweet word for a moment, but is shown through our deeds every day.
