DAY 12 OF 18

HAVE YOU BLESSED OTHERS WHEREVER YOU GO?

The Word of God commands us to seek the welfare of the city where we are located. It means that apart from our calling as a child of God to continue to pray and intercede for our city and nation, and leaders of the country. We are required to do something for the welfare of the city in which we live. Too bad that there are not many churches who have come out to reach beyond the walls of the church by doing something real. Praying is certainly much easier to do because it does not have to bother to spend energy and money, but the word of God in Jeremiah 29:7 invites us to realize the true purpose of what is required from God.

How far has the church today functioned in real life for the welfare of the city? It is true that praying is certainly very important, and the churches have taken a big part in praying for the city. Prayer has tremendous power, especially if it is done by the righteous. (James 5:16b) But real action, activity, is also something that is very important for us to think and do.

According to the dictionary the word “seek” means: to do something, to make (think deep to find a solution), to strive to do something hard. As God's children it is necessary and important for us to be a blessing wherever we go, and really do His word.

Be a blessing wherever we are and placed, so that God's name is always glorified
