Sustaining Belief
There’s a lot of discussion these days about how to make your own way and live a life that is significant. Having a clear understanding of who you are in Christ is another step in opening the door of opportunities ahead.
Once you receive your identity, God strengthens you.
God wants us to have a clear understanding of how He created us so we can interact with others and to move about in this world. One of our hang-ups is wanting a specific, mapped-out plan or a blueprint to follow.
There is a manual to guide your life: God’s Holy Word. I remember the year I read the Bible through from cover to cover, chronologically. It changed my perspective of how I saw God. It was inspiring, challenging, and encouraging—even Numbers and Leviticus!
To say my habit as a book nerd was life-changing is an understatement. The Bible still changes lives today and is spreading like fire throughout the nations. I want to join in this movement towards Truth and help others to know God. How do I know this is what I am supposed to do? Because I know everyone needs a Savior; we all need a rescuer from the world.
Do the work you have been called to do and believe God for the ideas He has placed inside of you. Then, have courage and tenacity to keep hold of a sustaining belief to do the next thing.
Hope and ambition are important components which move a heart forward. The whole idea behind sustaining belief is to say or have the presence of mind to look behind you at what’s happened, look towards your beautiful horizon with all the hope and possibilities, and move towards those God-opportunities that await you.
Hope helps your heart believe that God will take you there.
