OUR LIVES FOR HIS GLORY

The chief end of man is to glorify God. A problem arises when we try to keep God’s glory for ourselves. Man cannot handle the fame only God deserves. The moment Lucifer decided to keep God’s glory for himself saying, “I will ascend above the most High, I will become like God” is the moment he was thrown out of eternity. Humanity made the same mistake when Satan offered Adam and Eve a chance to become “like God”. Everyday we are offered the same choice as Lucifer and Adam before us; to bring glory to ourselves or to God. Anytime we seek to glorify ourselves rather then God we act like Satan, and will have the same fate as Satan, which is to be removed from the presence of God. Anytime we use our lives to glorify God, His presence becomes our portion as His presence “resides in the praises of His people”. May all our actions, words, decisions, and lifestyles glorify God, not ourselves, that through us people will see Christ. Our lives, His glory.
