Living Changed

DAY 4 OF 7

Freedom

Jesus came to give us life - and life to the fullest. Because of His sacrifice on the cross, we’re free. But we don’t always live in that freedom.

If you’ve accepted Jesus as the Lord of your life, He has taken your sin and separated it from you as far as the east is from the west. Somehow, we convince ourselves that doesn’t apply to us or our sin is too bad. But the depth of His love for us knows no limit. We don’t have to live a life where we’re self-condemning, burdened by the past, or distracted by the lies of the enemy.

When you find yourself slipping into self doubt, hatred, or fear, take a timeout from spiraling downward and talk to God. Tell Him the emotions you’re experiencing and ask Him to reveal His truth to you. Search through His Word to find out what the Bible says about your situation. The Bible is as relevant today as the day it was written, and there are answers waiting for you.

I live in freedom. Not because I’m a perfect person, but because God is sovereign, and He says in the Bible that I can live free from overwhelming self doubt and fear. His Word says, “don’t fear because I have overcome the world.” I trust His Word and let that alone rule my life.

We are all free to walk hand-in-hand with God and have a close personal relationship with Him. We’re free to trust His Word and apply it to our lives. Free to accept His grace, free from an eternity separated from Him, free from condemnation. His life, death, and resurrection replaces everything in our past and everything in our future.

This kind of freedom changes our perspective and changes everything we do. Instead of constantly reminding Him of our past, we can live in the freedom of His redemption. If we learn to put our identity in who He says we are, we can stop living for the world and live for an audience of one. We can know we were created for a specific purpose. We can know what our eternity looks like and do our best to bring others with us.

When we live with an eternal perspective, we don’t have to be anxious about the here and now. We can live in freedom knowing our eternity is secure.

Day 3Day 5

About this Plan

Living Changed

Do you often compare yourself to others or to society’s standard of what it means to be a woman? What if instead, you defined yourself by what God says about you and learned how to battle those creeping lies of the enemy? This plan will help you live each day with hope and confidence in Christ, knowing your identity rests in Him alone.
