The Legacy Journey

DAY 16 OF 31

Plans to Prosper

If I asked you to name the qualities of God that mean the most to you, I’m guessing you could create a list pretty quickly. You’d probably come up with things like love, grace, mercy, faithfulness and creativity—and you’d be right! God demonstrates all those wonderful qualities and so much more.

But I have to ask you this: Where would “planning” fall on your list? I’m thinking it wouldn’t be very high, even though you’re talking about the God who created the universe and keeps it all running. God definitely had a plan. In fact, I think God is all about planning!

And that’s one of the things I really love about God, because I’m a planner too. I don’t like surprises much. I want to know which steps will produce the most effective outcome possible. I also encourage my team members to set goals and to identify how they will reach those goals.

It’s just how I’m wired. And it’s one way I reflect the image of God in my life.

God used the prophet Jeremiah to remind His people that He had a plan for them. They had landed in captivity because of their sin, but God had not forgotten them. He had a plan—a plan to bless them, to give them hope for the future.

God has a plan for you to prosper as well. He wants to walk with you through the different stages in life and guide you to a life beyond your imagination.

Sometimes even our most careful plans fall apart, but God’s plans work every time. As you walk The Legacy Journey, pursue God’s plan for you. He wants to give you hope, and He wants to make your future the best that it can be.

Everyone can use a little help when it comes to planning ahead. The Legacy Journey walks you through the keys to securing your family’s future.
