Day 7: The Hope of Eternal Fulfillment

Scripture: Revelation 21:4
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

In this world, we may face the pain of unmet desires and longings. Singleness and childlessness can bring heartache, but the ultimate hope we have as believers is that God will one day wipe away every tear. In the new heavens and new earth, there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more unfulfilled desires. God promises to bring eternal fulfillment, and all things will be made right.

Though we may feel torn between the present and our hopes for the future, we can live with the hope of eternity. Just as Jesus endured the cross with the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2), we too can press on with hope, knowing that God has a perfect plan for our lives and a future where every longing will be satisfied. This world is temporary, but the joy and fulfillment we will experience with God in eternity are everlasting.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the hope of eternity with You. Though I may experience longing and heartache in this life, I rest in the promise that one day You will wipe away every tear and make all things new. Help me to live in light of that eternal hope, trusting that You are preparing something far greater for me than I can imagine. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
