The Rebuild: Matthew 5-7ნიმუში

Are you going through a season of suffering, or struggling through trials that seem to be unending? Perhaps you are overwhelmed by the sins of this world, or even your own? Maybe you are being mistreated because of your Christian beliefs?
Jesus tells His close friends they are not the first to experience these hardships, nor will they be the last. Sometimes, when we are in deep sorrow, all we can do is hand it all over to our Saviour with a heavy sigh.
If you have ever met somebody imprisoned for their faith or read stories about our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ, you may be surprised to find how freely they rejoice in their circumstances. They know with certainty the honour that awaits them - the kingdom of heaven is theirs! And they find deep reward in the blessing of knowing Jesus intimately through their toils.
So stay humble, merciful and pure. Press on to pursue justice and peace. Allow the presence of God’s Spirit to comfort you like a warm embrace, remembering the eternal blessings you have been freely given by grace.
Today, ponder this: Is there a valley or valleys in your life right now? Spend time now in prayer and ‘Lift your eyes to the hills’ as the Psalmist reminds us and pray in the hope and promises of Jesus and his love for you that ‘He will never forsake you’.

About this Plan

“You have heard it said…” In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus begins to rebuild and reform our understanding of life in His Kingdom. In Matthew 5-7, He challenges the religious traditions of His day and the competing worldviews of our own. His words are a call to transformation—a new way to live under His reign. As Jesus lays the foundation for His Kingdom, we are invited to tear down false beliefs and build our lives on His truth.
