STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH TO MOVE FORWARD

We are all born with natural human faith, which drives us to do things that seem possible to us. However, to move beyond our limitations and experience even more of God's grace, we need to develop biblical faith.

Our relationship with God happens through faith, which is why He said, “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) But this type of faith is not natural; it is spiritual. The difference between natural faith and biblical faith lies in what one believes. While natural faith relies on human knowledge, biblical faith is founded in God's character and His Word. In our daily lives, we may act with both types of faith, but to live out the purpose God has established for us, we must strengthen our spiritual faith.

Throughout history, human knowledge is changeable and susceptible to error. But God’s character and the principles of His Word are unchanging. One of the principles God teaches us to strengthen our faith is to meditate on His Word day and night. Meditating means thinking and rethinking about what God says to us, rather than focusing on our daily problems. God doesn’t want us to be stuck - stuck in a situation, stuck in the past, or stuck in frustration. God's will for us is that we have faith in His Word to move forward.

What God promises He fulfills, though not always in the way we expect. God had promised the Hebrews that they would take possession of the Promised Land, but before they arrived, their leader Moses died. Naturally, there was sorrow over his loss, but God didn’t want the people to remain trapped in mourning or lose hope in the promise. God already had everything under control, including who would succeed Moses as their leader. That’s why God said to Joshua, “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.” (Joshua 1:6) God promised Joshua that He would be with him and would never abandon him. Furthermore, God instructed Joshua to speak the Word and meditate on it day and night so that he would prosper in his ways and be successful.

Whenever we prioritize meditating on God’s Word, which is the unshakable truth, our minds are renewed to think from God’s perspective. As we begin to think as God thinks, our faith is strengthened, and we are able to declare words aligned with His truth, despite our circumstances, and thus move forward to live out great victories.

DECLARATION OF FAITH: I believe that God has good plans for my life. He is by my side and will never abandon me. I decide to meditate on His Word day and night so that my mouth declares the truth that gives me the strength to move forward in faith and overcome any problems.
